In 2012 the coronary sinus society achieved twelve poster presentations and abstract publications. Furhtermore two full paper publications are being prepared or are in review. The "Pressure-controlled intermittent coronary sinus occlusion (PICSO) study on mechanical control of cardiac tissue morphogenesis" poster was awarded for the best poster presentation by the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science of the ESC.

List of poster presentations and abstract publications:

  • Pressure-controlled intermittent coronary sinus occlusion (PICSO) study on mechanical control of cardiac tissue morphogenesis.
  • Can myocardial regeneration be achieved by Mechanotransduction of hemodynamic pressure on coronary venous endothelium as a regenrative stimulus in ischemic/reperfused hearts?
  • The Hypothesis of "Embryonic Recall"
  • Do elevated levels of interleukin-6 activated through PICSO intervention promote structural regenration in heart failure patients?
  • Temporary coronary venous pressure elevation through PICSO in patients with chronic heart failure.
  • Does temporary coronary sinus occlusion initiate the SAFE pathway?
  • Coronary sinus preconditioning through PICSO in patients with chronic heart failure.
  • Does periodic coronary venous pressure elevation promote regenrative processes through SAFE pathway initiation?
  • The conundrum of myocardial regenration.
  • Temporary inflammation in heart failure patients - a stimulus for regenration?
